Key Word Transformations. C1 Cambridge CAE practice materials. Some pointers before you start. The idea here is to transform the sentences given into another sentence that means the same thing. Make sure that you include all the elements from the first sentence. Pay attention to adverbs of time etc which need to be in the second sentence too. You can only use between 2 and 6 words in your transformation. Make sure your grammar is correct and your tenses are the same. Spelling does count. Do not change the spelling or form of the key word. Check your second sentence has the correct subject. Sometimes the exercise will be checking your ability to transform a passive into an active sentence or vice versa. Find the answers at the end, so you can check your own work.
